Which Year?

For many Americans, especially the young, minorities and progressives, the prospect of a new year has never seemed less hopeful.

Dying is easy, comedy is hard…

You may have noticed that I haven’t been around much lately and my good friend Zorba has had to carry the weight for this blog.  For some reason, ever since  Daddy Bear’s not around to help me, I find it difficult to get anything done. Not, of course, that I’d ever admit he did anything I couldn’t do, but he did make it seem easier than it apparently is.

That, however, isn’t the problem.  I find myself sitting around, staring off into space just thinking about him.  And I spend so much time doing that, I don’t get anything accomplished.  It even seems that as each day goes by, it becomes harder and harder to even move from a single spot.  It’s almost as if his very presence animated me.

Whatever the reason, nothings getting done.  Why. it’s taken me days to write and post this!  So until I can figure out something new to motivate me, I’ll have to take a break.  But while I’m gone, you should keep up the good fight.  Remember to laugh at a politician every day — it’s the only thing their years of service has truly earned…

And I have to add, good riddance. A horrible year in so many ways. 😩

When the first Star Wars movie came out in 1977, Mr. Zorba and I went to see it. (I was pregnant with our first child at the time.)
I’ve like Carrie Fisher ever since. She wasn’t a “typical” science fiction heroine for that time. Princess Leia had a lot of sass and a lot of strength, and I liked the way Fisher portrayed her.
You will be missed, Carrie. May the Force be with you.
