Political Drift
I admire people who actually think (as opposed to people who spout political catch-phrases), no matter what their politics. I don’t care if you agree or disagree with me — give me facts, or a good solid argument, and I’ll post your comment. Heck, I might even invite you to be a guest blogger. However, I will not post comments from trolls. Every knee-jerk, hard-liner, my-way-or-the-highway, political hack, whether liberal or conservative, gives me ulcers. Conservatives call me liberal because I disagree with what they do (as opposed to what they say). Liberals call me conservative for the same reason. The fact is, I’m not for anything in particular, but I’m against a lot of stuff. W. C. Fields once said, “I never vote for … I always vote against.” That sums up my political leanings in a nutshell.
I can’t abide conspiracy theorists. They go to great lengths to make their most ridiculous imaginings “reasonable” to excuse their state of constant fear. But I keep remembering something a crazy friend told me: ‘they own the machines, they count the votes, and they have Gitmo if you disagree.’ And for the life of me, I haven’t found anything yet that proves him wrong…
