The NRA and the gun industry are powerful lobbies that the politicians seem to be afraid of, and until that changes, we aren’t going to get meaningful gun control in this country, unfortunately, no matter how many people die. 😦

Omar Mateen considered himself a terrorist.

Fear is only part of the issue – one side of the controlling coin. The NRA wields great gobs of money, as well. As long as the NRA is able to threaten our “public servants” with being primaried if they don’t act the stooge, this will continue. We need to fix both issues, which means, I’m afraid, we need to elect sane people instead of politicians…
